Improved observation skills are probably the best way to improve your motorcycle riding and help you stay safe on the road, no matter what hazards may be lurking round the corner.
What you can see, what you can't see and what you might be expected to see... Just because it shouldn't happen, doesn't mean it won't happen. Better observation, makes you better prepared.
SAVE MONEY ON YOUR INSURANCE?
Maybe? Depends on what advanced training you do and whether you complete the appropriate tests successfully. Passing the IAM, ROSPA, ERS, tests CAN lead to cheaper insurance with some insurance companies.
Statistically speaking, those riders with advanced riding qualifications are much less likely to have an accident on the road. So advanced training might even lead to lower insurance premiums, which means the course could soon pay for itself.
